Initially, the actor found it difficult to pronounce his wife’s last name. It is only years later that he has now got the hang of it. Earlier this year, the Guardians of the Galaxy actor appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show. Herein, he got candid about his personal and professional life. He also gave a hilarious account of how he faced trouble with his wife’s last name.

A curious Kimmel asked Pratt if he had trouble pronouncing his wife’s last name. To this, the 42-year-old actor said that he is now able to do it. He said, “I’ve learned now” and added, It’s a long name.” Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger tied the knot in 2019. The couple is the parents of two daughters. ‘Schwarzenegger’ has been added to the girls’ names as well.

Commenting on his kids’ lengthy names, Pratt hilariously said, ” There’s a lot of letters in these children’s names.” However, he clarified that they did not hyphenate their surnames, and they rather use “Schwarzenegger’ as the second middle name for the girls. “Schwarzenegger is the second middle name. We didn’t hyphenate our names. It’s a middle name,” Pratt added.

Kimmel further dug into the dynamics of the Schwarzenegger-Pratt family. He asked if it was Arnold’s idea to add Schwarzenegger to the kid’s name. To this, he replied, it was all his wife’s doing. He further implied that she is the female alpha and has the final say in the house.

Pratt isn’t the only one in the family who has difficulty getting the last name right. Pratt’s father-in-law also faced the same once. Looks like the duo has more in common than their love for the gym. In 2021, Schwarzenegger made an appearance in Pratt’s Instagram telethon. Herein, while greeting his son-in-law he mistook him for Chris Evans.

“Hello, Chris Evans, oh not Chris Evans, sorry, I’m going to screw up this thing right from the beginning, Chris Pratt,” said the Terminator actor. Guess now everyone knows which MCU Chris is Arnold’s favorite. However, trying to cover up the slip-up, Arnold said he didn’t read the “cue card.” He further added that he should know Pratt’s name since he is his daughter’s husband. Buttering up to him, Arnold also said that Pratt is his “favorite son-in-law.”
