Bodybuilding Icon Chris Bumstead Indulged in an Epic Cheat Meal After Winning Mr. Olympia in 2021

The Mr. Olympia championship is a tough road to ride. From practicing hardcore workouts to keeping up with a strict diet plan, a bodybuilder has to make many sacrifices. As they say, there’s no gain without any pain. Bodybuilder, Chris Bumstead, went through the same process.

However, after winning the Classic Physique category of Mr. Olympia, it was time for a treat. Bumstead chose an epic cheat meal that would make our mouths water!

What’s on the menu for Chris Bumstead?

While preparing for the contest, the star bodybuilder was on a strict diet. His daily meals mainly consisted of proteins and carbs and included food items like oatmeal, chicken breasts, white rice, etc. Bumstead made sure to stay disciplined towards his diet and eat clean until the championship. His dedication to maintaining a strict diet regime and intensive workout sessions paid him off. The icon consequently won the Classic Physique category of Mr. Olympia 2021, for the third consecutive year.

After winning the title, Bumstead took to YouTube to reveal his iconic cheat meal, evidently made by and for a champion. He began his morning with a wrap filled with egg whites, turkey, spinach, and mushrooms, paired with fruits, a chocolate chip pancake, a pumpkin pancake, and coffee. For lunch, he chose a whole-wheat turkey sub while his partner, Courtney King baked him a loaf of banana bread and some cookies. Finally, for dinner, the star chose a decadent pizza with a truckload of toppings and cheese.

Notably, Chris mentioned how he hopes to have a “more aggressive” cheat meal in the future when his body manages to adapt. Being a bodybuilder not only means bulking up one day and eating heartily the next. It also includes slowly adapting one’s body to a different diet. Breaking the habit of clean eating is also as difficult as beginning the cycle of clean eating.

While Bumstead has sacrificed a lot for bodybuilding, his dedication and hard work have paid off immensely. Holding the title for three consecutive years takes serious amounts of passion and sincerity towards the goal. The superstar has proved over the years that staying true to your journey always results in your betterment.
