The bodybuilding fraternity woke up to the tragic news of a bodybuilder who passed away after injecting oil to get bigger muscles. Valdir Segato, who potentially used fatal injections of Synthol for years to increase his biceps, pectorals, and back muscles, died on his 55th birthday. Arnold Schwarzenegger inspired him with fictional characters like the Hulk, persuading him to gain better muscles. Thus, it was shocking that he lost his life.
Notably, many bodybuilders inject various harmful oils to get bigger muscles. It is tragic news for everyone, and the bodybuilding fraternity mourns after the unfortunate loss.

Inspired by Arnold Schwarzenegger
In 2016, medical professionals warned the São Paulo native of facing amputation or at least nerve damage and muscle disfigurement because of the injections. Naturally, his muscles blew up. It reached up to 23 inches. Meanwhile, Arnold had 22-inch arms at his peak. Hence, he was often called “the monster” of the streets. He revealed his inspiration from Arnold and various fictional characters on how he wanted to look enormous.

“They call me Hulk, Schwarzenegger and He-Man all the time and I like that. I’ve doubled my biceps but I still want to be bigger,” said Segato. He was proud of the title of having the biggest biceps on the streets. Posting images on social media, he called himself “Valdir Synthol.” He had 1.7 million followers on TikTok and lived a solitary life. He complained of shortness of breath on the day of his untimely passing.
According to Brazil’s Globo News, a source revealed how Segato came to his mother’s house and knocked on her window. He stated how he asked for help because after feeling uncomfortable. After being taken to the nearest medical facility, Segato fell. Reports emerged that he suffered a heart attack.

The TikTok star used Synthol after receiving it from the gym. It comprises a mixture of oil, benzyl alcohol, and lidocaine. It can cause nerve damage, oil embolic of the pulmonary, occlusion of the pulmonary artery, myocardial infarction, cerebral stroke, and infectious complications. The drug did not make Segato stronger, and it was purely cosmetic.
