Storms had traveled from Mississippi to the south and mid-west. With many deaths, injuries, and devastation, the journalist issued warnings to more states that the tornados might pass by. The chaos and loss were concerning as the magnitude of the storm was something that Shriver had never witnessed before.

In an Instagram post, Shriver shared a carousel of images from the aftermath of the storm. She also added a detailed caption about how much the climate changed while expressing her grief over the situation. She lamented, “Homes, businesses, livelihoods, all destroyed, and more severe weather still is possible into today, as the storms shift to the Northeast and Southeast.” While highlighting the damages, she alerted people to pay attention and take action against the rapidly declining climate.

This was one thing common between the ex-couple. Arnold Schwarzenegger has been an environmental activist for a while and recently even made huge efforts toward climate change awareness.

Arnold Schwarzenegger battles it out against climate change

During his political career, Schwarzenegger also raised concerns about climate change and the environment. In fact, he made sure to participate and take steps towards a better and green future even after getting out of office.

Earlier this year, Schwarzenegger along with his girlfriend, Heather Milligan, organized a fundraiser at Kitzbühel, Austria. He invited local celebrities and athletes and raised up to $292,000 through an auction. The proceeds went towards various humanitarian projects.
