Legendary Terminator Star Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Not So ‘Tough’ Voice Faced Rejection for His Own Role’s Voiceover Once

Bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger has inspired millions of people throughout his career. He has proved himself to be the best in whatever he does. After being extremely successful in bodybuilding and acting, he found success in politics too. He served as the 38th governor of California.

Arnold often gives out motivational speeches at different conferences and events. He takes examples from his life as well as the life of other successful people. Explaining success, the legend believes that mindset is the most important aspect of winning.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was denied to do a voiceover

Arnold shifted his focus from bodybuilding to acting in 1975 and has never looked back since. Despite having a slow start in the film business, he persevered his way up to the top. The legendary bodybuilder was patient and maintained his self-confidence which made him successful after a decade as an actor.

Arnold saw huge success as an actor in the film industry, with multiple films crossing a whopping $100 million at the box office. He was nicknamed ‘The Austrian Oak‘ for his solid physique. In 1984, Arnold played the lead role in the film ‘Terminator’ directed by James Cameron. The movie was dubbed in several languages due to its worldwide release.

However, Arnold was denied the opportunity of dubbing his character in German. The Legendary Terminator star’s voice was considered to be ‘not so tough,’ thereby facing rejection. The film received mixed responses critically but was successful at the box office. According to the film’s director, James Cameron, the film was a hit relative to its market. Terminator grossed $ 78.3 million worldwide.

Arnold and James Cameron first collaborated while filming ‘Terminator’. Their friendship has evolved a lot over the years. James Cameron who is now very famous for making science fiction movies got his first recognition by directing the film ‘Terminator’. The Austrian Oak spoke about the influence that James has had in his life in multiple interviews. During the filming of the Terminator, Arnold gave multiple inputs to James and his whole team which they considered wholeheartedly.

The sequel to the movie, ‘Terminator 2’ became one of the greatest action sequels ever made. All in all, James and Arnold seem to be very good friends. In 2016, they collaborated again on a campaign where they urged people to cut down on their meat consumption. Schwarzenegger stated the health benefits of cutting down on meat. James is an environmentalist and continues with his ecological activism whenever he is not making films.
