Shaquille O’Neal is a 4 time NBA champion who had a record-breaking career. Over 7 feet tall, Shaquille had a height advantage, which also made him one of the tallest men in basketball. However, not so long ago Shaq, by his own admission, was getting “chubby”. Recently the Lakers’ legend has slimmed down and is getting back into top shape.

The NBA giant posted a shirtless, bodybuilding-inspired posing routine on Instagram, impressing fans and celebrities alike. However, Shaq seems to have impressed some people more than others.

Ronnie wrote, “Yeah buddy, I see you hitting those Olympia poses Big Bro.” Current Mr. Olympia Classic Physique title holder Chris Bumstead also praised Shaq. Chris wrote, “Posing getting better.”

Some fans already think Shaq might be preparing to compete. O’Neal stands 7’1 Ft tall and, during his prime weighed over 300 lbs. His immense size and strength made O’Neal a menace for any team’s defense. However, his physique may not be the best fit for bodybuilding.

Current Mr. Olympia, Big Ramy, is 5’9 and weighs a maximum of 330 lbs during the offseason. At 7’1 Ft, Shaquille would have a much harder time filling out his massive frame with muscle. Shaq would also have a hard time putting on muscle simply because of his age. That being said, it’s unwise to rule out any possibility.

Shaquille O’Neal is a rap star

Shaq isn’t just a generational talent, he is also a rap star. Throughout this music career, Shaq released four studio albums. However, he made history with his first album. In 1993, Shaquille O’Neal dropped Shaq Diesel, and the album sold more than a million copies. So Shaq became the first athlete to have a platinum record to his name. The NBA giant’s second studio album hit gold.
