Very often, fans see crashes during the Alpine Skiing competitions. During the Winter Olympics, many skiers lost their way through the course and crashed out, including Mikaela Shiffrin, a two-time Olympic gold medalist. However, sometimes, they just get up and move forward as Cornelia Hutter did. The Alpine skier crashed during one of her runs and thankfully got away with some bruises.

Slalom competitions make a person travel at speeds of 80-90mph. It is one of the most dangerous sports in the world because of the same. And the Alpine skier found this out during one of the recent downhill races.

Alpine skier suffers a huge crash

The Alpine Ski World Cup happens this week in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, as competitors get ready to fight for medals. But, Hutter will miss the event because of the injuries she suffered during the downhill race in Crans-Montana. She finished third in the competition but crashed out in her second run in the event. Suffering from a concussion, Hutter will miss the event as a case of precaution from the injury.

While going at insane speed levels, she lost control of her skis and crashed at the final jump, and slid to the finish line. The Austrian Ski Federation sent Hutter for medical testing and found her with a concussion, whiplash, and a mild knee ligament injury. With the races scheduled for March 5th and 6th respectively, Hutter will miss out on the event.
