Athletes often perform overcoming a lot of adversities in their life. Simone Biles is one such athlete who accomplished so much regardless of the adversities that came between her goals. She overcame every hardship and came out stronger. With 25 World Championship medals under her belt, Simone is the most decorated gymnast of all time. Some critics even consider her to be the greatest gymnast of all time.
There have been several instances in the past where many athletes have performed, even after suffering from serious injuries or health conditions that could be life-threatening. It sends a message to the masses regarding the hunger one must have to achieve tremendous success. It is also an example of the spirit they possess, which separates them from the masses.

Simone Biles performs despite the pain
Simone Biles was a member of the USA gymnastics team for the World Championships in Qatar. It was significant competition for the team, as a gold medal in the World Championships would give them an automatic qualification for the Tokyo Olympics. At the World Championships in Doha a couple of days before the competitions, Simone complained of abdominal pain. She was then taken to the emergency room by the medical officers. “We had to go to the ER because I’ve been having stomach pains on my right side for two days.”, said Biles.
Initially predicted to be inflammation in the appendix, a series of tests and a scan confirmed it was a large kidney stone that caused the pain. Biles decided not to undergo any treatment and participate in the competition. She left the hospital, and despite the pain, Biles put forward an outstanding performance. Her dominance and energy during the World Championships were worth watching.
