In Never Grow Up (2015), The Karate Kid actor mentioned his passion for racing. “When I was young, a group of us?Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao, Frankie Chan, and Eric Tsang?would go street racing.” He soon became the face of Mitsubishi. In fact, as per the book, the kung fu star used to drive a Mitsubishi car whenever he went for shooting. Soon an idea occurred to him, and he started the Jackie Chan Cup by collaborating with the brand.

But that too failed to attract attention after a while. Soon Chan didn’t feel like continuing. As he wrote, “the event venue charged me a high fee every time for renting the grounds and other expenses…I was bringing them so much business, and they were charging me a fortune.”
