His near-death experience

In 1973, Lee experienced a massive seizure due to heat stroke while dubbing for a film. The crew took him to the nearby hospital as soon as possible for his breathing irregularities. He was gurgling and shaking while experiencing spasms and did not respond well to any medications. After 2?3 hours of struggling, the martial artist finally gained consciousness and felt a bit better. The doctors primarily suspected that intake of hash to be the reason behind this, though, unsatisfied, Lee went on to take a second opinion.

In LA, doctors diagnosed Lee with cerebral edema but both failed to detect increased body heat behind everything. Reportedly, the removal of his armpit sweat glands led to an increase in internal heat generation in his body, and failed to maintain a homeostatic condition. Little did he know that he had only two months left in his life!
