After two months of silence in MLB, baseball fans have witnessed lots of drama in the last week. The current situation in MLB is getting more complicated with each day passing. Now, the Yankees star, Jameson Taillon, has also broken his silence on the current situation of lockout.

Earlier on Thursday, MLB owners refused their commitment to offering a counterproposal to the Players’ Association. Instead, they requested a federal mediation in order to continue the upcoming season as scheduled.

Hours after receiving the request from the owners to include a mediator for the further negotiations, MLB Players’ Association declined their request as they are not ready to include a third party in the negotiation. The MLBPA, in their statement, said that players are still ready to negotiate.

“The clearest path to a fair and timely agreement is to get back to the table. Players stand ready to negotiate,” said the statement from the MLB Players’ Association.

MLB’s response to Players Association’s stand

As per Jeff Passan of ESPN, the MLB owners on Friday responded to the players’ union when they rejected the intervention of a federal mediator and released a statement. According to Jeff Passan, the owners want to get assistance from Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service in order to conduct the next season on schedule.

“Our goal is to have players on the field and fans in the ballparks for Spring Training and Opening Day. With camps scheduled to open in less than two weeks. It is time to get immediate assistance from the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service to help us work through our differences and break the deadlock,” said MLB owners in their statement.
