The opening day is just a day away from its kick-off, and if Judge doesn’t sign his renewal before the opening day, then the Yankees slugger will become a free agent after the 2022 season.
Aaron Judge wants to win the championship for the Yankees
Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees are made for each other. But if the Yankees want their talisman to stay for a longer time, they must sign him before the opening day, otherwise, after the 2022 season, he will be free to negotiate with any MLB franchise.
Judge has been very vocal about his love for the Yankees on various occasions. But his recent comment indicates that the Yankees slugger might be playing his last year for the Pinstripes. As tweeted by Erik Boland of Newsday, Judge wants to win a championship in his last year for the Yankees.

He wants to win the title, especially for the Yankees fans. It has been ages since The Bronx Bombers have won any major title in Major League Baseball.
Judge had already informed the Yankees’ management that he will not discuss his contract after the opening day, as he doesn’t want any distraction during the regular season. And given the current scenario, it looks like this will be his last year in the Bronx.
