The entire life of Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez is full of controversies. But when it comes to sports, A-Rod has always been a great professional. Even after years of his retirement, the Yankees’ great has been a class personality with his gestures and respect towards the veteran sports personalities.

Recently, Jay Wright, a legendary basketball coach, announced his retirement as a coach. And despite belonging to a different sport, A-Rod was full of respect towards Wright. There is no doubt that he is one of the most controversial figures in America. At times, A-Rod has always proved that he is one of the best ambassadors of sports.

Earlier this week, legendary basketball coach Jay Wright announced he will no longer be a professional coach to the Villanova Wildcats Basketball Team. Notably, Wright served the Villanova for a record 21 years as a head coach. Being the coach of an NCAA Division team, Wright did not need any NBA side to be a successful entity in basketball.

As soon as Wright announced his retirement on Twitter, Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez, heaped some high praise on the former Villanova coach. He called him a role model of the game. “Congrats to Coach Jay Wright on his retirement,” tweeted A-Rod. “A hall of Famer, a true class act, and a role model. The game will miss your class and elegance.”

During his 21 years at the Villanova Wildcats, Wright led them to many glories. He announced his retirement after a successful 35 years of coaching in basketball. In a statement released on Twitter, Wright said he looks forward to being a part of the Wildcats family.
