He called him a role model of the game. “Congrats to Coach Jay Wright on his retirement,” tweeted A-Rod. “A hall of Famer, a true class act, and a role model. The game will miss your class and elegance.”

During his 21 years at the Villanova Wildcats, Wright led them to many glories. He announced his retirement after a successful 35 years of coaching in basketball. In a statement released on Twitter, Wright said he looks forward to being a part of the Wildcats family.
