Simone Biles just got married to her longtime partner Jonathan Owens for the second time and is currently having the time of her life. At her wedding, as the bride is walked down the aisle by her father, Biles got emotional. She had written a special message for her dad on a handkerchief or napkin, which she later shared on her social media with a special two-word message.

Gymnastics legend Simone Biles and the NFL star Owens first got married last month in a Texas Courthouse. Their recent second wedding was in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with a larger celebration among friends, family, and close ones. One close member of Biles was her father Ronald Biles, who stole the show and also made it a memorable one.

It read, “Dad, of all the walks we have taken, today’s will be my favorite. Love, Simone”. Biles was referring to the walk down the aisle that every father has to take with his daughter on the day of her wedding. The bride then reaches up to her to-be groom as they exchange vows. The custom represents how a father hands his daughter over to his new son-in-law.

Biles was adopted by her father Ronal Biles and her mother Nellie Biles when she was 6 years old. She credits much of her success, which includes 7 Olympic medals of which 4 are gold, to her parents.

Simone Biles’s father has a sense of humor

It was a heartfelt moment for Ronald Biles, as is for any father, to bid his daughter farewell at her wedding. However, the father-of-the-bride had his sense of humor intact, when he wore a T-shirt on the day of his daughter’s wedding, that read, “I loved her first” with Biles’s date of birth “3.14.1997” written on the back of it. It was his cheeky way of reminding Jonathan Owens, how much she means to him. The front of the T-shirt read, “Father of the bride” with the date of the wedding “5.6.2023″ written on it.
