Ryan Crouser, an American shot put athlete, was born in Portland, Oregon, on December 18, 1992. Ryan Crouser comes from a family deeply rooted in the throwing discipline. His father, Mitch Crouser, not only represented the United States as an alternate for the U.S. Olympic team in 1984 but also competed as a thrower at the University of Idaho. Crouser pursued his education at the University of Texas, achieving remarkable success in the shot put discipline. While there, he secured four NCAA titles and set the indoor and outdoor shot put records. 2012 he was honored as the Big 12 Indoor Freshman of the Year.
