After being placed sixth, Shiffrin provided a fantastic second run that saw her finish in third place. As for Hector, her second run wasn’t as memorable as she failed to make it to the podium. Acknowledging her effort, Shiffrin gave a special mention to Hector in her Instagram post, stating how she deserved to win a place on the podium.

Shiffrin said, “I’m happy with a podium to fight back a few spots in challenging conditions on the second, but I also know that really could have and probably should have been @sarahector’s spot so let’s cross our fingers that she is not too beaten up.”
