It takes a star athlete like Usain Bolt for an individual to surpass the popularity of the sport they play. Bolt became the Fastest Man Alive and the only athlete in history to achieve a triple-triple: winning gold in the same three disciplines for three consecutive Olympics.

But Bolt made this journey with the support of his family. He has two half-siblings, children his father had with other women, but the person who can make him cry is none other than his mother. Jennifer Bolt has been supporting his career since he was small.

Usain Bolt talks about his bond with his mother

In an interview with The Guardian, the Olympian talked about how there aren’t a lot of things that can make him cry. Apart from the Tom Cruise movie The Last SamuraiUsain Bolt’s mother is perhaps the only other name on that list.

“The only thing that can make me cry is my mum. If I disappoint her or upset her or we’re not speaking, or something goes wrong, then I cry,” Bolt shared. He is, proudly, “a mummy’s boy”. The sprinting GOAT adores both his parents. However, his father’s short temper taught him to walk away from fights and never raise his voice.
