Shericka Jackson beats Sha’carri Richardson once again 

The track and field season has ended and the Athletics Awards are coming closer. The World Athletics released the list of finalists of the World Athlete of the Year on their X account on the 13th of November 2023. They shared a photo with the finalists on it and the caption carried the names of the finalists. This list did not include Sha’carri but Shericka Jackson. The Jamaican athlete, after the Diamond League, once again defeated Richardson in the race for this title and made it to the finals.

The finalists, apart from Jackson are Tigist Assefa, Femke Bol, Kipyegon Faith, Yulimar Rojas, and Shericka Jackson. It is a saddening day for all the fans of Richardson as they were eagerly waiting to witness their idol grab this title for herself.
