Kai Orine is making a social media storm these days for taking down back-to-back 18 people. However, that takedown spree did not take place on the wrestling mat.

Obliterating every resistance on the way 

Recently, Kai Orine’s wrestling adventure extended to participating with people on the road who are strangers. To share the remarkable showdown of Kai Orine, Flowrestling shared a short video clip of 18 strangers competing against the NC State Wrestling sensation. Along with the video, they penned, “If you haven’t checked out our D1 scavenger hunt video you’re missing out on Kai Orine taking down 18 strangers.”

Eventually, this made him compete against 18 people on the road and defeat each one of them, contributing to his total score of 692 stranger takedowns. However, this is not the first time where Kai has been recognized for his skills. Last month, Kai received the honor of the ACC Wrestler of the Week 2023-2024 title for concluding the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational with the championship title and 5-0 performances. Despite that, Kai Orine had to swallow a loss recently.

What was the Challenging upset Kai Orine faced recently?

Kai Orine faced a major upset as the 2024 season began. In the first week of January, the Oklahoma State wrestling team competed against NC State Wrestling. Soon after locking horns, the Oklahoma State wrestling team started to dominate the opponent team. Eventually, the match concluded on Oklahoma’s side as they added another win to their undefeated streak of 5-0. On the other hand, NC State was dropped to a 9-2 score in the match.

The major upset for NC State was No. 3 Kai Orine vs Daton Fix at 133 pounds. Soon after coming up on the wrestling mat, Kai Orine was taken by major decisions 11-3. Consequently, Orine not only gifted Fix the seventh win of his career over ranking opponent but also a first-time win by bonus points.
