Valorant closed-beta might have the fourth map for the game revealed. The latest update on Reddit disclosed that Riot Games have been developing a fourth map. The three maps on the beta right now are Bind, Haven and Split. Riot Games also confirmed that after the release the game would have four maps and 12 characters.

Right now the game is still in its development phase and already pulling most traction on Twitch. The new map revealed on Reddit by u/UlfricTheThird has an absolute Venetian scenery attached to it. The atmosphere definitely looks Italian from the looks of it.

Valorant Will Have Four Maps When The Game Is Released

On April 9th 2020, The Esports Writer (@FionnOnFire) revealed that he had a conversation with the Valorant game developers. He confirmed that the game will have four maps during its release, and will also have 12 players. Currently, there are ten characters in the game, each with specific abilities. The new characters would definitely add an extra edge to the game. The map design revealed on Reddit might make the developers reshape the fourth map before release.

What Would This New Map Look Like

The data miner, u/UlfricTheThird, had this to say on Reddit: “I have been doing some data mining, and I have found some information on the new map code-named “Ascent”. I’ve learned that it takes place in Italy, as there is a lot of Italian writing on the textures. I think it is in Venice because some of the textures reference a canal. There is also a gondola texture . 2 shops in the map are named bait shop and boat shop in the files. The street lamps have the same style that the street lamps in Venice have, but I don’t know if that’s just a style across Italy. There is also scaffolding models and textures in the files.” 

He also released couple of images to go with it. This gives us an in-depth analysis of what it would look like. Although we have no clue when the map would be released on beta, we can only wait patiently for Riot Games to speed up the process.
