WNBA CBA talks continue to dominate headlines, with the basketball world waiting to see whether the league could be headed toward a potential lockdown. At the same time, Reggie Miller’s viral comparison of Caitlin Clark to Payton Pritchard finally drew a response from Clark herself, while Cameron Brink also made headlines after opening up about her modeling aspirations with Playboy.

Caitlin Clark Offers Playful Response to Payton Pritchard Comparison

By now, the backlash Reggie Miller faced from the WNBA community for comparing Caitlin Clark to Payton Pritchard has been well documented. Paul Pierce went as far as calling the comparison “an embarrassment,” while Sophie Cunningham took a more measured stance, saying she did not believe Miller meant any harm but adding, “It probably wasn’t the best comparison for the generational player that Caitlin Clark is.”

But Caitlin being Caitlin, she handled the comparison with grace. During Tuesday night’s Boston Celtics vs Dallas Mavericks game, Payton Pritchard drilled a first-quarter buzzer beater, prompting Caitlin Clark to hop on social media and respond with a series of smirking emojis.

In that moment, the comparison became easier to understand. Clark may be the superior passer overall, but both players are crafty, hard-nosed guards who can stretch defenses with deep shooting. Pritchard backed that up on the night, finishing with 26 points on 60% shooting off the bench, along with seven assists and four rebounds, as the Celtics cruised to a 110-100 win over the Mavs.

Kysre Gondrezick’s Take on Cameron Brink’s Viral Comment

The modern WNBA player is no longer defined solely by basketball. As athletes expand their reach through endorsements, business ventures, and media opportunities, Cameron Brink’s openness to modeling for Playboy felt like a natural extension of that evolution.

Fans had already seen Cameron Brink step into that space before, having previously taken part in a bold photoshoot for the sports and fashion outlet PLAYERS, an experience she openly said she enjoyed. She also emphasized that she would need her fiancé’s approval before taking that step.

Regardless, the comments quickly went viral and drew a response from Kysre Gondrezick, the first Black professional women’s basketball player to become a Playboy Playmate. Taking to X, Gondrezick wrote, “Oh yeah I’m buying the next issue 👀😍 @cameronbrink22.”

WNBA Fans in Disbelief Over “Free League Pass” in CBA Pitch

For the first time since December, the WNBA’s labor relations committee, team owners, league representatives, and players met in person to move the CBA talks forward. And by now, we all know the three-hour meeting did not include an exchange of proposals, with both sides instead focusing on explaining the thinking behind their most recent positions.

But ESPN managed to uncover more details about the offers currently circulating between the league and the union. Those details included a $5 million team salary cap being proposed by the WNBA, along with a revenue-sharing structure that would allocate 30 percent of gross revenue to players.

And among the list of improvements promised in the latest WNBA CBA offer, one line stood out immediately: “Free WNBA League Pass,” a detail that quickly caught the attention of fans.

Go check out what fans had to say after ESPN reporter Ramona Shelburne revealed details of the current WNBA CBA offer, which the union rejected six weeks ago with a counterproposal featuring a $10.5 million team salary cap and a revenue-sharing model that would give players 70 percent of net revenue.
