Patrick Mouratoglou is one of the best coaches in the game. The partnership he shared with Serena Williams has been highly successful over the years. Patrick has his own tennis academy where he grooms youngsters, and in 2018, Stefanos Tsitsipas joined the academy.
The Greek has been under regular observation by Patrick himself. Having won his first ATP match towards the end of 2017, Stefanos has grown rapidly as a player. He won his first ATP title at the Stockholm Open in 2018. He followed it up by reaching the final of the Rogers Cup. The impressive part was that he beat four Top 10 players en route.
Recently, while speaking about Tsitsipas, Patrick had only high words of praise for him and stated, “Stefanos is extremely special, and I believe that he has everything to become a champion. I really believe that he has everything to achieve (a Grand Slam)…I think he’s a bit obsessed with tennis, which is something that is extremely important.”
