In fact, the former World No.1 sometimes acts as a fan looking for opportunities to meet her idol. Recently, she was quite disappointed that she missed the chance to meet Shirley Manson of the band, Garbage.

Serena Williams reminisces about a missed opportunity

A few days back, Venus Williams, the seven-time Grand Slam champion, had a joyous encounter with Shirley Manson. Manson is the lead singer of the band Garbage and a fan of the Williams sisters. Therefore, upon getting a chance to meet Venus, the singer took to Instagram to share her happiness. Though when Serena found about the same, she was quite disheartened. As she wrote on one of her stories, “I can’t believe I missed this.”
