Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard has been away from the court for quite some time now. The 28-year-old last played in March 2021, losing against her Chinese opponent Lin Zhu. Notably, she is going through rehab after going under the knife for treatment of her shoulder injury.

However, the former world number 5 has kept herself connected with the sports and keeps visiting and supporting her favorite teams. Be it Ice hockey, NBA matches, or Grand Prix, the 28-year-old has used her time away from tennis to enjoy different sports as a fan. Recently, the tennis star went to watch the Canadian Grand Prix.

Eugenie Bouchard helps a fan complete his bachelor’s party on the streets

The Canadian tennis star was in a jovial mood while going to attend the Canadian GP. Interestingly, she shared a full update of the day on her Instagram account, starting with waking up late to stopping for drinks. Also, the former world number 5 took to the streets and helped a fan who was celebrating his bachelor’s party.

Notably, the man had a checklist to complete as his bachelor’s party task. Bouchard signed his T-shirt and posed with his gang for a tennis-playing pose. In all the 28-year-old had a lot of fun.

Bouchard withdraws from Wimbledon

The former Wimbledon finalist decided to pull out of the grass court Grand Slam. Notably, the 28-year-old has dropped down in the rankings because of her long absence.

While she can use protected rating entries to play in important tournaments, it was a tough decision for her as WTA stripped the Wimbledon of ranking points this year. Since she has only a limited number of PR entries, it would be only wise to use it in ranked events.

“As much as I love Wimbledon and skipping it makes me sad, using a PR entry at a tournament with no ranking points doesn’t make sense. I must choose wisely and use my PR entries at tournaments that will help me get back to where I want to be.” She said.

Although she will be missing the Wimbledon Championship, the good news is that Bouchard is finally back and ready to play. Her fans will hope to see her back on the tennis court soon.
