In an interview, Venus recently talked about what competing with her sister on such a huge platform felt like. While she has always maintained how much fun it was competing against her sister, she reiterated the same sentiments again.

It’s what we dreamed about growing up so I think a lot of people think, ‘oh wow, what’s it like to play your sister?’ I’m like ‘yeah it’s awesome. I’d love to see her get there, I love to get there. It’s just the most exciting thing in the world’,” she said.

Venus and Serena have always shared a close bond. Both of them credit each other for always pushing and motivating the other. They also have enjoyed a healthy rivalry on court, competing in 9 grand slam finals between the 2001 US Open and the 2017 Australian Open tournaments.
