Serena Williams about having a carefree attitude
While disclosing what she has learned from the 12-time Grand Slam champion, Williams recalled her carefree attitude and how it helped her later in her career. “I remember how funny I was even better,” she said after detailing the lessons that she learned from King.

Thereafter, King pitched in, “All I know is you and Venus save the player dinner. We always had the player dinner Friday night when you two arrived. You made it hilarious.”

“I was never serious,” Williams chuckled and added. She concluded the topic by saying, “I just remember because I won the US Open after that and I just remember being so confident after that trip.”

What Williams achieved in her career
Serena Williams turned pro in the year 1995 and emerged as her elder sister Venus Williams’ rival. She claimed her first Grand Slam trophy in 1999 on the hard courts of Arthur Ashe Stadium and from there, her reign began.

Williams touched the ranking of World no.1 for the first time in the year 2002 and now has a record of spending a total of 319 weeks in that position. Further, she has a pile of 73 singles and 23 doubles titles and is the only WTA player other than Chris Evert to win over 100 matches in the US Open.

In addition, she has helped America win two Hopman Cups, one Fed Cup, and four Olympic gold medals. Williams brought three doubles and one singles medal from the Olympic games.
