Apart from tennis, the popular tennis star has other interests as well. She recently worked as an executive producer in a documentary. In 2019, the Japanese also appeared on the Ellen Show, where a hilarious moment was revealed by the host.

Ellen set up a date for Naomi Osaka

When the star tennis player appeared on the show previously, she revealed having a crush on Michael B. Jordan. Ellen went a step forward and conveyed the message to the American actor. However, a shy Naomi Osaka failed to take it forward from there.

This time around when Osaka was on the show, Ellen confronted Osaka about the same in a funny way.

Here’s the full conversation.

“Michael B. Jordan, on Twitter, invited you to go see Creed 2, and you didn’t even respond to him and then you didn’t show up. How is that possible? I tried to hook things up. I get it all set up for you and then you don’t even respond or go to the premiere. Why would you do that?” Ellen said.

Further, when the tennis star said nothing in response, she added,

“You’re never going to get a man”

Surprised by this, Osaka said, “Woah!!”

Naomi Osaka has had a stop-start season so far. After a shocking first-round exit from the French Open, she had to sit out of the Wimbledon Championships 2022, due to an Achilles injury. However, she made a return to the tour in the Silicon Valley Classic. She won the first match convincingly but failed to go past this year’s French Open finalist, Coco Gauff. Later, playing in the Canadian Open, she struggled with a back injury in her first match. Later, she retired midway from the match.
