‘She Was Literally a Trooper’ – Caroline Wozniacki Shares Emotional Reaction After Giving Birth to Her ‘Best Angel’

Caroline Wozniacki married her long-time boyfriend, former basketball player, David Lee in 2019. The marriage was followed by Wozniacki’s retirement from professional tennis in early January. Going strong together, the two welcomed their first child, Olivia Wozniacki Lee on 11th June 2021.

Taping the birth of Olivia, an OTT platform recently released a show titled ‘Wozniacki & Lee’. The 6-part show, released on 21st March, focuses on the lives of the two, before, and after the birth of their daughter Olivia. Recently, the OTT platform released a post-delivery clip of Caroline. The clip was of the second day after the delivery of Olivia. In the clip, both the parents shared their views on the first two days with their daughter. Additionally, in the clip, David has shared the thoughts he had before the delivery.

The clip started with David entering the hospital room with Caroline already present, feeding the baby. Expressing his fatherly excitement, David said, “It’s official. She has arrived.”

Responding to David, Caroline said, “Baby girl is here. She arrived perfect. She was just over 3.3 kilos. 12 hours of labor, 35 mins of pushing, everything was great. She’s healthy. Looking good. “

Post the birth of a child, the first few days are largely considered the most crucial days for a newborn child. This is the time she/he needs utmost attention and utmost care. Being a mother, Caroline Wozniacki acted no different. Going further, the 31-year-old opened up about the first two nights, calling her daughter the best angel.

She saif, “First night, she was literally a trooper and literally the best angel sleeping through. Everything was fine. Second night, which means tonight now, I got 10 mins of sleep because she wanted to be fed all the time.”

Even though Wozniacki have a love-filled approach towards the first-two night with Olivia, David opted to add a pinch of humor to it. Giving his take on the second night, David said, “The second night, she was crazy. Caroline is being nice. She was absolutely crazy. We found out first-hand why parenthood is not always the easiest thing.”

David Lee on being a part of the process

In the next part of the clip, David was seen talking about the pregnancy phase. Recalling the time of pregnancy and delivery, Davis confessed that he had no idea that it would be so difficult. However, along with difficulty, he also addressed the phase as amazing. “I had no idea. The miracle of life, as they say. I had no idea that it was this difficult and this amazing,” he said.

Elaborating on the thoughts he had during the time, David said, “I went in mentally with the idea of like I’m just gonna kind of stay away. Be there for Caroline but I don’t want to be involved in the process at all because I hear from a lot of men like, it’s not worth being up close and personal.”

However, he ended on a postive note saying, “But like at some point, I was so like, amazed by the process. So, I fully watched everything take place. I was like, this is awesome.”
