Last year, during the All In London 2023 celebration, CM Punk made headlines as he engaged in a tussle with Jack Perry backstage. As a consequence, AEW fired Punk a few weeks later. All parties involved had not given any insightful details on the whole fiasco with intrinsic details kept to their discretion.

However, the wrestling world turned upside down when during his recent interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, CM Punk gave several interesting details about his time in AEW that revealed Tony Khan’s lack of leadership skills. Several claims of his have made headlines. One of which was the locker room’s overall ill attitude toward Punk. Something that made Bully Ray draw a likeness between Punk and Hulk Hogan.

On the Busted Open Podcast, Bully Ray and Dave LaGreca shared their thoughts on Punk’s interview with the MMA Hour. During the discussion, Ray talked about how, despite appearing on a different show, CM Punk still did not feel welcome after the All-In incident. The former WWE star blamed it on the locker room and the leadership of Tony Khan, stating that even if it were Hulk Hogan in place of Punk, he would leave. He said, “But it doesn’t matter that he’s a star. I don’t give a s**t if he’s Hulk Hogan. If Hulk Hogan goes to you, listen brother, I don’t want to be here anymore. I’m uncomfortable. I don’t want to be here. The boys don’t want me here. This is obviously not working out for whatever reason. You got to cut me loose.”
