Drew McIntyre achieved his “broken dream” when he defeated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36. He became the WWE Champion for the first time in his career, and the first Scottish WWE Champion.
When Vince McMahon introduced Drew McIntyre to the WWE Universe, he said that the Scottish wrestler is going to be the next best thing in the WWE. McIntyre debuted with a theme song called Broken Dreams, which was an instant hit with the audience.

He had a decent stint, but got lost in the shuffle and eventually released in 2014. However, he bounced back when he returned to WWE in 2017, but with a different theme song.
Lately, fans have been demanding McIntyre’s old theme song back. We recently witnessed Jeff Hardy’s ‘No More Words’ come back when he fought Karrion Kross. The Charismatic Enigma previously stated he’d bring the classic music back once fans would return to arenas. Now that WWE has returned to live events, why can’t we have ‘Broken Dreams’?

Speaking with Inside the Ropes‘ Kenny McIntosh, the former WWE Champion said that if it his old theme ever comes back, the fans should remember every word of the song just like Chris Jericho‘s ‘Judas’.

During the interview, McIntyre confessed he will talk to management about bringing the song back. However, if the crowd does not sing along, he will be extremely embarrassed.

“The thing I always say is, everybody please learn the words because if I somehow convince management ‘we gotta use this, because the fans love it, they’re all waiting for it, they’ve been asking me for it for years, they know all the words’, and I walk out there and nobody knows the words and they don’t sing it like Jericho’s song, I’ll be devastated, and I’m going to have to go back with my tail between my legs going ‘I was wrong’.”
He also said that Edge’s brood entrance on the SummerSlam impressed him. The Scottish Warrior would like to have a similar entrance to that one.

“I see it more like as a combination like Edge did just at SummerSlam there, with the Brood into his new music. If we could use it in some capacity at the beginning, cutting into the war pipes, which is more suitable for who I am today.” McIntyre said.
