CM Punk’s professional wrestling career has been marred in controversies due to one reason or another. His infamous WWE walkout in 2014 or the AEW brawl out are the biggest topics of debate in his career. Punk has often divided opinions amongst fans and wrestling veterans. Former WWE star Booker T has also been very critical of Punk’s craft and attitude as a whole.

Addressing the recent rumor of Punk’s comeback at AEW this June, he previously claimed that the ‘Second City Saint’ is nothing, but an overrated superstar who can’t even make much difference in AEW’s viewership numbers in the long run.

But before his AEW return speculation emerges, there is also a fair amount of buzz regarding Punk’s WWE return in case he is fired from AEW. However, one of the company’s faithful, Booker T, is seemingly not convinced by the idea. He thinks it would be better for Punk not to step into WWE’s ring again for the amount of dirt he threw at the company since his departure in 2014.

Booker T labels CM Punk as unworthy of a WWE return

Speaking in the latest episode of his WWE Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T didn’t mince his words while firing at the former WWE Heavyweight Champion.

33-Year-Old Former AEW Wrestler Ready to Work With CM Punk Under One Condition

The 58-year-old noted, ‘Over the last seven years, CM Punk has disparaged WWE in so many different ways, it’s not even funny. So many different ways… He tried to get me blackballed. I found out about it later. I remember when I became the World Heavyweight Champion. We had a show at the Summit, which is now Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas.

He continued, “I saw this guy in the building. You know what I did? I told security to bounce his a** out of there. Do you know what security did? They bounced him right up out of there because that’s the way I really felt about that guy. I’m sure after everything CM Punk has said about this company, a lot of people probably feel that way about him.’

Booker T is not wrong in his assumption of Punk’s rotten image in the company, as many WWE stars labeled his past week’s Raw visit as a petty publicity stunt ahead of AEW’s return.

Booker T comments on CM Punk’s recent Raw appearance

Last week’s episode of Raw spotted the Second City Saint backstage. As per the report, he was there for a short period before leaving the building by a verbal order. He learned about the Raw taking place in Rosemont near his native place and therefore showed up backstage to make top headlines in the pro wrestling world.

While the sole reason behind Punk’s sudden appearance in the WWE arena is still unclear, Booker T believes he himself deprived him of the opportunity of getting basic greetings from people under WWE. During the same podcast interview, the veteran noted, “He alienated himself from all the guys there, even his friends. He literally blocked everybody. So I don’t know who he could have been coming to say hello to, the seamstress? I’m serious.”

Speaking of Punk’s next wrestling destination, it’s not even likely for him to be back at WWE, given that he is still bounded by an active AEW contract.
