The first episode of AEW Dynamite of 2024 opened where Worlds End left off. The Devil was unmasked to reveal it was Adam Cole all along. At the end of Worlds End after unmasking himself, Cole’s henchmen lay a beat down on the already injured MJF. In this episode, Cole and his minions took to the ring to issue an update on MJF since the PPV. Cole said, “MJF is gone and he’s never coming back.” This was concerning MJF’s injury and subsequent loss of the AEW World Championship to Samoa Joe.

Tony Khan did not give any update on the former champion’s condition while the promotion removed his name from the official roster. Reports indicate that MJF will be out for quite some time, with no clue as to when he will be returning.
