MJF Notably Absent From AEW’s Official Roster Page After Tony Khan’s Refusal to Discuss His Future at Worlds End Media Scrum

The big news concerning former AEW world champion MJF might shock most wrestling aficionados around the globe. Well, it could also happen that the rumors could be true and the WWE fans might be in for a surprise.

The pro wrestling world is filled with surprises. We know anything can catch us off guard. We recently saw CM Punk step foot inside the WWE ring again after nearly 10 years. It is because of these surprises that fans start believing those rumors and shelve reasoning doubt. And the same could happen in the case of AEW’s biggest homegrown talent.

MJF is absent from the AEW roster

As per a recent report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, MJF is no longer listed on AEW’s official roster page. This is indeed a startling update for the fans, as MJF just fought a world title match on Saturday, but now his name is not on the official roster. This is keeping with MJF’s statements that his contract comes up on January 1st of 2024.

With this update, the speculation around the contract decision of MJF has reached a fever pitch. Amidst all this, AEW’s head honcho, Tony Khan, was also asked for his opinion on MJF’s future with the AEW on Saturday. Addressing the question, AEW’s president remained reserved.

Tony Khan’s take on MJF’s future with the company

MJF’s AEW contract is almost over. The prospect of the former world champion is now under intense scrutiny by the fans. But in this regard, the AEW boss, Tony Khan, didn’t have much to say when he addressed a question in the recent media scrum.

He said that he can’t speak much about the future of MJF, but he will always welcome his services. Just to let you know, MJF just lost his world title at the hands of Samoa Joe at AEW Worlds End. He was a hot topic since the fans were suggesting that he could join WWE after his contract expires with AEW.
