“We Weren’t Hunter’s Guys” – Former WWE Superstar Reveals That Triple H Did Not “Love” Their Tag Team Despite Being a Fan of Their Wrestling

Triple H is a man that holds high value in the WWE community. Over the years, The Game has successfully evolved from a participant to an authoritative figure in the wrestling world. His rise to assume one of the bigger roles in the industry is not a minor achievement.  With great power comes great responsibility, and recently, a former WWE superstar addressed his complicated relationship with the creative officer of WWE.

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler were never favorites of Triple H

FTX’s Dax Harwood recently hinted at a potential move to WWE. However, Triple H needs to sign on it for that the move to go through. In a recent interview with Matt Koon, Harwood revealed that he and his tag team partner, Cash Wheeler, are not among H’s favorites.

Harwood said “We weren’t Hunter’s guys… I don’t hold any ill feelings towards him because of that.”

The 38-year-old explained that ‘The Game’ has a close circle of fighters, such as Johnny Gargano and Ciampa. But, despite their talents for wrestling, Harwood and Wheeler never came close to that inner circle. However, Harwood strongly believed that H was a fan of the duo’s abilities in the squared circle.

Harwood explained, “I do believe that we were one of his favorites, uh skill-wise talent wise. I think we were.” and added, “but, we weren’t one of the guys. I think he wanted to build the company around or the brand around.”

The FTR still holds a lot of respect for ‘The Game’

Paul Michael Levesque thinks about the whole brand and not just entertainment. In the case of the FTR duo, ‘The King of kings’ probably felt they wouldn’t add much to the brand of the company. But Harwood and Wheeler still consider him a mentor and a boss, despite their firing.

Harwood expressed “he’s someone who changed the trajectory of my career, Cash’s career and he did it by being a boss first, being a mentor second…”
