In a strange turn of events, two Pay-Per-Views are happening back to back. After WWE SummerSlam on August 23, WWE Payback is scheduled to take place on August 30. The company is making new feuds as fast as possible. However, amidst all the chaos, fans have noticed something really interesting in last year’s Payback poster.

According to a recent tweet shared by Cultaholic, the Payback poster from three years ago accurately predicted many things about this year’s WWE events. See the poster below.

The potential Easter Eggs in the poster

The first thing that stands out is Retribution. Currently, there’s a dark vigilante group in WWE which creates chaos, attacks wrestlers and vandalizes the premises. They “retaliate” against the company.

“Eye For An Eye” could easily allude to “An Eye for An Eye” match earlier this year between Rey Mysterio and Seth Rollins.

Rey lost the match and was written out of storylines. This, in turn, is related to how Rey’s son Dominik made his debut in WWE to ‘avenge’ his father against Rollins.

‘What goes around comes around’ could refer to the return of a heel Roman Reigns at WWE SummerSlam. Reigns is getting ready to face “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman at Payback 2020.

In general, Payback can be used to describe every title and singles match that is taking place. Every match is a ‘payback’ by ‘any means’ in the wrestling world.

Fans React To WWE Payback Coincidence

Fans had a hilarious reaction to this one. One section was shocked while some others attributed it to “long term storytelling.” Check some of the best responses below.

It is highly unlikely that WWE planned this incident. However, even if it is a conicidence, it is definitely an interesting one.
