Tonight on Monday Night RAW, a new edition of the King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring tournament began. On the men’s side, Drew McIntyre was set to face Finn Balor in the first round. This came as a surprise to many, considering the Scot is recovering from an elbow injury. But finally, the doctors made a decision on the matter.

Adam Pearce announced a few hours before the start of WWE RAW that Drew McIntyre did not receive the medical clearance to compete. Therefore, his participation in the King of the Ring 2024 tournament came to a premature close. CM Punk mocked this chain of events on a segment tonight, where he revealed himself as the reason behind his arch nemesis’ downfall. But he might’ve also revealed the PLE where he could clash with the ‘Scottish Warrior’. So when and where is it?

As Drew McIntyre was ruled out of the King of the Ring tonight, CM Punk did not waste a second to cut a promo. In the segment, he mocked the Scotsman’s inadequacies. And it was during this promo that he kept mentioning Clash at the Castle. Thus revealing the possible PPV where the two may end up fighting. At least that’s what Denice Salcedo from Fightful thought during the recent Fightful Podcast. She said, “But the one thing that I think we did get from this though is that CM Punk mentioned Clash at the Castle. Because as of right now, it’s just been speculation from the fans of whether or not that match is gonna happen. And I forgot exactly what CM Punk said but in the end he did mention Clash at the Castle. So what I took from that was ‘okay, s**t! This may actually be happening at Clash at the Castle’.”

The former world champion, Drew McIntyre has been injured since WrestleMania weekend, when he sprained his right elbow. And it was all thanks to the Chicago Made who took his revenge after he suffered an injury because of the Scottish Warrior. Despite this, McIntyre continues to make appearances with his limb protected. As happened last week when he had an exchange of words with Punk.

WWE Clash at the Castle takes place on June 15th, 2024, at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. This marks the WWE’s first PPV and livestreaming event to be held in Scotland. It will also establish the PLE as a recurring UK event. So are you excited to see the two fight it off? Who do you think will end up winning? Let us know in the comments.
