2k Creates Historic Moment With Their Latest WWE 2k24 Deluxe Edition Cover

WWE Games made waves across the globe after the logo of their upcoming game WWE 2k24 was revealed. Since then, fans have been left with so many questions such as what new modes will be in this installment. However, the biggest question of all was who would be featured on the cover of WWE 2k24. Finally, the day arrived when the game studio revealed the cover of the game. While there are three different covers for three different editions of 2k24, the Deluxe Edition has created a historic moment for the fans to marvel at.

WWE 2k24 creates a historic moment

All three covers of the game are pretty vibrant. The standard version celebrates the story of Cody Rhodes and thus it features him as the cover star. The Forty Years of WrestleMania celebrates the four decades of the Show of the Shows and features many stars from the past and the present. However, the deluxe edition includes two of the top stars from the WWE’s female roster.  On one side, fans could see Rhea Ripley and stills from her journey, and on the other, fans could see SmackDown’s Bianca Belair.

What makes this moment so special is the fact that Belair is the first woman of color to be featured on the cover of a WWE video game. What makes it even more special is the fact that the cover is shared by two female superstars, Belair and Ripley. This makes it the first time two female stars have been featured on the cover of a WWE 2k video game.

The year 2023 was pivotal for both Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley. While one tried to establish herself as the face of SmackDown, trying to win her championship title back, the other proved time and time again why people should not mess with her. In 2023, fans saw Belair going against Iyo Sky and the Damage CTRL for the coveted WWE Women’s Title.

On the other hand, fans witnessed Ripley becoming the champion. The Eradicator was seen going against the Queen of WWE, Charlotte Flair for the WWE SmackDown Women’s World Championship. Ripley successfully pinned Flair and declared herself as an unstoppable force on the WWE. This victory made her the youngest Grand Slam Champion in the history of WWE.
