There is no one more recognizable in NBA than LeBron James. A trailblazer and inspiration for so many little kids, James is considered one of the best players in the league. With a record as his and the performance he has given over the years, that statement appears to be obvious. There is nothing that anyone can take away from James, not his professional league record or his place in pop culture.

But since the beginning of humanity, people have been comparing two things and this time it’s James’ turn. A debate that many basketball fans have invested hundreds of hours into. Who is the greatest basketball player of them all? While there are many names thrown in the cap, there are the four who stand above the rest. Some say it’s Michael Jordan, seeing his records and influence. While some say it’s Magic Johnson or Wilt Chamberlain because of their relevance to the sport and influence. But this WWE legend thinks differently.

While there may have been many celebrities who praised James now and then, this WWE legend has been going off praising him for a long time. Every time that he talks about James, this former WWE Champion has put him above Michael Jordan. He did so once again.

WWE legend puts LeBron James above other NBA legends

In a recent tweet, Flair talked about how James has already become the greatest basketball player of all time. He added that even if James didn’t score another point or won another game, he would be above all the rest.

After saying this, Flair also mentioned that he recognizes that there are other legends. Legends like Magic Johnson, Wilt Chamberlain, and Michael Jordan, but King James is above them all for him.

Being one of the greatest wrestlers and above his peers as well, Flair’s words carry some heavy implications. It’s the case of a game recognizing a game and doing it on Twitter. But this way, Flair has made himself vulnerable to a lot of criticism as well from fans; especially basketball lovers.

Was James influenced by Flair?

In a podcast episode, the WWE wrestler revealed how LeBron James was influenced by him. Flair said, “First time I met LeBron, he said, ‘you’re the reason I bought my first Rolex watch and you kept me out of a lot of trouble’.”

Thus, the appreciation seems to go both ways.
