WWE Superstar CM Punk is known for almost always setting things ablaze each time he is behind a mic. ‘The Best in The World’ has been having a back-and-forth exchange with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. However, his latest words have taken a direct shot at AEW’s head honcho, Tony Khan.

Several members of the WWE Universe wanted CM Punk to talk about what really went down during his final days at AEW. At the time, Punk remained silent because of several agreements he had signed during his exit from the company. However, he has set things loose now, and AEW’s Eddie Kingston has some quality words to say to him. Interestingly, CM Punk fans also have a lot to say to Kingston.

Punk noted, “I don’t like the drama but the truth is the truth. He’s not a boss, he’s a nice guy. That’s a detriment to the company [AEW] but it’s not my company.” Notably, however, the ‘nice guy’ didn’t take mercy on Punk and fired him in September 2023.

While no response has been received from Khan on the matter, AEW’s Eddie Kingston jumped on these words at the Adrian Hernandez podcast.

Kingston said, “He don’t work for us. I don’t give a f**k. Honestly, honestly, he don’t work for AEW, so I don’t care. That’s it, I’m not even mad. If it sounds like I’m mad, it’s just the way I talk. But no, I don’t care. I know other people do but I really don’t give a f**k because he doesn’t work for AEW.” Kingston also told what his reaction would have been had CM Punk worked for AEW.

He said, “That’s the way I look at it. If he worked for AEW and did that, then I might feel a certain way, for a little bit and then I would just let it go and go, welp, that’s Phil being Phil.” He further commented that CM Punk has always been a loose cannon.

“Can’t control him, that’s his thing. He ain’t me and I ain’t him, so, but he doesn’t. So I don’t care what he does,” continued Kingston. The statement from Kingston seemed to be reacting to what CM Punk said, but his words just spun around in a loop without any direction.

This didn’t escape the eye of Punk fans who trolled the AEW star relentlessly.

When the ‘Cult of Personality’ fans targeted Eddie Kingston

Several CM Punk fans from the WWE Universe circled Eddie Kingston with several negative comments. While Kingston failed to give a charged speech like a pro wrestler, a fan said that his appearance didn’t favor him much either.

They wrote, “Eddie Kingston doesn’t look like a pro wrestler for me. He looks like a clown 🤣🤡.” Another fan wrote, “Also eddies a clown.” While the clown analogy struck a chord with several fans, many others made even sharper remarks.

Taking another sharp jibe, a fan commented, “Who cares about Eddie Kingston in 2024 anyways?” Kingston repeatedly saying that he doesn’t care about CM Punk also caught several eyes. Pointing this out, a fan wrote, ‘Or someone who “doesn’t care” he certainly seems the need to remind himself he doesn’t care.”
