Cody Rhodes just went for the left hook on Raw. In an entertaining opening segment, Rhodes spoke about his heroic victory over The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar, at SummerSlam. However, in the same vein, he dissed his old rival, the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. 

While the jab by Rhodes was implicit, fans were quick to express their viewpoint on social media.

After his courageous victory over Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, Rhodes delivered a powerful promo on Raw this past week.

On Raw, fans felt the indirect dig at Reigns, when Rhodes spoke about Lesnar acknowledging him as Roman Reigns delivers his iconic catchphrase “Acknowledge me” similarly.

This led to excited fans expressing their views on social media on the snarky dig.

The promo made fans nostalgic of their epic encounter at WrestleMania 39 and Rhodes’ quest to finish the story. 

Most of the fans wanted Rhodes to finish the story for his father.

Some felt that this was the start of a new storyline between them at WrestleMania 40.
