Dwayne Johnson, on the silver screen, inspires millions and millions of his fans. It would not be a travesty to think that he is one of the best actors in the world. After all, he is among the highest-paid movie stars on the planet. But, what is The Rock’s favorite TV show? Johnson has revealed on his Instagram account, one of the TV shows he enjoys watching the most. 

And it is none other than ABC’s, Modern Family. The situational comedy follows the lives of three modern families in California trying to deal with their kids, jobs, and eccentric spouses. As mirthful as the entire show is, there is one scene from season 1 that never fails to tickle The Rock

Modern Family was first released in 2009. And after enjoying a decade’s worth of success, the show came to a close in 2019. The highly acclaimed sitcom features well-known actors such as Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Sarah Hyland, Eric Stonestreet, and many others.

Going to Instagram, Dwayne Johnson shared a snippet from the first episode of season 1 where Phil Dunphy(Ty Burrell) compliments Gloria’s dress. In response, she says, “Thank you, Phil!” But, because of her accent, “Phil” sounds like “feel”. And so, Phil is happy to oblige and starts caressing her dress. That’s when he gets a slap on his wrist from Mrs. Dunphy(Julie Bowen), making the scene one of the funniest moments in the show.

While sharing the clip on his social media, Dwayne Johnson wrote, “F*ck. Never gets old. One of the greatest shows ever. Brilliant cast”. Johnson also added clapping, laughing out loud, and a devil emoji to Phil’s “ok” response before he starts feeling the dress. Modern Family is undeniably one of the best sitcoms ever due to its puns and slapstick moments. 

Although The Red Notice actor is widely known for his roles in action films, he has also been cast in various comedy films. Johnson is set to star in the live-action remake of a popular movie than garnered eyeballs during its release in 2016

A live-action remake of Dwayne Johnson’s 2016 film is coming soon

Amidst Dwayne Johnson’s massive loss in XFL, he recently took to Instagram to share a piece of joyful news about his 2016 film, Moana. The Disney animated studio is in the works of converting the film into live-action. The movie follows the life of Moana, who sets out on her journey to return the heart of the goddess Te Fitti from Maui(Johnson), who is a demigod. 

Taking to Instagram, “Dwayne Johnson announced the release date of the film with a beautiful quote from Moana. He wrote, “Sometimes our strengths lie beneath the surface. Far beneath in some cases” ~ Moana. Humbled (and excited) to share our official release date for our live-action @disneystudios MOANA June 27, 2025″

By the looks of it, it’s certain that Dwayne Johnson will reprise his role in the film, though Auli’i Cravalho has denied playing the part of Moana. Moana was a global success, grossing $690.8 M worldwide.
