FTR came far since they took a leap of faith to try their feet somewhere else outside of the biggest wrestling company in the world. Former ‘The Revival’ tag team consisting of Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler earned numerous accolades, including the RAW tag team titles during their WWE tenure. But eventually, the duo become displeased with their position in McMahon’s promotion. It resulted in them joining AEW in 2020.
It, however, proved a wise decision for them as the FTR currently stands for one of the top tag teams in the world with the AAA, ROH, and IGPW Tag Team Championships to their name. But it seems like one-half of the FTR, Dax Hardwood thinks it’s time for some revaluation of their AEW future.

After Cody Rhodes switched to WWE from AEW last year, the whole world witnessed the company treat him like a big star and he will be headlining WrestleMania 39 against Roman Reigns after winning the 2023 Royal Rumble. Considering the massive recognition The American Nightmare receives these days, Hardwood admits that it hugely impacted him and his teammate Cash Wheeler.
Hardwood, who previously thought they wouldn’t get their deserved place in WWE ever, probably has to rethink considering how well WWE handled his former AEW peer. Taking a bow to his old promotion for that, in a recent interview with Haus of Wrestling podcast, he stated, ”WWE could have snatched him up and really done whatever they wanted to because he wouldn’t be able to come back to AEW. But seeing that they took him seriously, and they have allowed him to be a big star definitely had me and Cash analyzing it way more than we would have before.”

One of the closest former peers of Cody Rhodes also acknowledged the latter’s own effort behind his success. He noted, ”They’ve done a great job with him and Cody has done a great job with himself too. He’s been given the opportunities, but it’s all about what you do with the opportunities because he could have been given an opportunity and just squandered it. But he believes in himself, man.”
Admitting how proud he is of Rhodes’ success, the current FTR star further stated it has made the tag team reevaluate things and what would be their next step.
