On a recent episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Hardy talked about how Vince McMahon and John Cena himself felt that Kevin Owens was worthy of this opportunity.

 

He said.”I mean thats massive, that shows that someone has alot of faith in him. Hunter was a big fan of his at NXT, but also Vince to roll that and give the oppurtunity speaks volumes about John, John was willing to do that, willing to elevate another talent. Which John was known to do especially if he felt that someone had earned it and they deserved it.

LA Knight seems to be next in line for a similar opportunity

If there is one star on the current roster who knows how to talk smack, that’s none other than LA Knight himself. Fans see him as a mix of Stone Cold and Dwayne Johnson, but keeping those similarities aside, he is one powerhouse in the ring.

He will compete in the Money in the Bank ladder match which has been a career-altering moment for many. If he wins, which fans are mostly gunning for, he can challenge any champion anytime, and that will bring him immediately to the top of the wrestling food chain.
