“Be Prepared for a Slaughter” – Former ECW Champion Warns Edge Before Picking a Fight With The Miz

WWE Hall of Famer Edge returned to Monday Night Raw this week. But the Rated-R Superstar had a big surprise waiting for him. On his return, The Miz confronted him, who also made his return to WWE after taking part in the 30th season of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

During the segment, the two got involved in a war of words. Both superstars fired shots at each other. On one occasion, Edge referred to The Miz’s former tag team partner, John Morrison. Morrison has recently been released by WWE, much to the surprise of the WWE Universe.


Edge said, “You use this to get notoriety for your next endeavor, for your next reality show, for your next dance competition while you leave your partners high and dry to get fired.” In reply to this, Morrison quickly took to Twitter to give out a warning to Edge.

In his tweet, Morrison told Edge to be prepared for slaughter if he decides to jump into Miz’s water. He meant if Edge messes with “The A-Lister“, he must be prepared to get slaughtered or get a beating. Well, it will be interesting to see this fresh rivalry between two of the company’s biggest stars at this moment. Whom are you supporting in this massively exciting feud between The Miz and Edge?

John Morrison’s relationship with The Miz

John Morrison and The Miz formed a formidable tag team back in 2008 when they were a part of ECW. Prior to their formation of the tag team, they were rivals. However, once they defeated Matt Hardy and MVP in a match for the WWE Tag Team Championship, they became friends.

After losing the WWE Tag Team Championship, they feuded with D-Generation X in October 2008. The duo also won the 2008 Slammy Award for Tag Team of the Year. They again came into the title picture by winning the World Tag Team Championship at a house show by defeating Kofi Kingston and CM Punk.

On April 13, 2009, John Morrison caused Miz his match against Kofi Kingston. The Miz then took his frustration out by attacking John Morrison. Later, Monday Night Raw picked The Miz in the 2009 WWE Draft. Later, SmackDown picked Morrison during the 2009 Supplemental Draft.

Since then, the two collided head-to-head on many occasions, till Morrison left WWE after deciding not to renew his contract. But Morrison returned in January 2020 and teamed up with The Miz once again.

They even won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship after defeating Big E and Kofi Kingston at the 2020 WWE Super ShowDown PPV. But after Miz’s loss to Xavier Woods following an unintentional distraction from Morrison, he attacked Morrison once again. That once again brought an end to their tag team.
