Have you noticed that Brock Lesnar was missing from WWE for a while? The 10-time World Champion faced repercussions after being named in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against the company, alongside Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis. He was indefinitely removed from creative plans, notably absent from the Royal Rumble, where his return was anticipated. When the full roster was revealed, it was finally confirmed that Lesnar was not part of it.

The company was busy erasing Lesnar from all aspects for the past couple of months. He was erased from promotional material for WWE 2K24 and the WWE 2K Supercard mobile game. However, fans can now spot his name on the current superstar list on the WWE website again. But why the sudden inclusion? So did Lesnar get a clean sheet, or is it related to Paul Heyman’s Hall of Fame inclusion?

WWE is known to ensure that until any pending legal issues are solved, they’ll keep bad PR away. Chris Benoit was and is still removed from the company database, and so was Velveteen Dream when he too was facing allegations of ‘inappropriate communications with underage’ teens.

On WWE’s official website, you can see a list of champions on every brand of the WWE. The list includes former and current champions. And while we mentioned earlier that the WWE has removed Brock Lesnar from a lot of WWE events, his name has been added back into the list of champions along with his database. And that too in the list of current superstars!

Brock Lesnar was also included in WWE 2K24, albeit not as a fully playable character for all modes. Nonetheless, it remains to be seen whether Lesnar’s return to WWE’s roster page means he will return to television soon as well, as we head towards WrestleMania 40.

This is a positive move for the Beast who has been missing from action for a long time. And while it is still unsure if this move is related to him having a WrestleMania match. But the WWE is likely planning to bring back ‘The Beast’ to induct legendary manager Paul Heyman into the Hall of Fame.

After all, the duo have been as iconic as The Undertaker and the late Paul Bearer. And while ‘The Dead Man’ couldn’t induct Bearer as the ghostly pale-faced manager, unfortunately, passed away before being titled a Hall of Famer. The WWE would not want another legendary induction to go to waste.

Lesnar last wrestled for the WWE in 2023, at WWE’s Summerslam, where he lost to Cody Rhodes and marked an end to their feud. He was reportedly planning to enter the Royal Rumble in a spot that was later given to Bron Breakker, after the lawsuit became public. This meant that Dominik Mysterio would have eliminated him. Thus laying the groundwork for a planned singles match between the pair at Elimination Chamber later this month.

Reportedly, Lesnar was also planned to face current and longest-serving Intercontinental Champion Gunther at WrestleMania 40. And even Gunther was looking forward to it.

Gunther has become one of the most dominant superstars on WWE’s current roster. So far in his career, he has already faced veterans of the industry such as Sheamus and Rey Mysterio. However, the Austrian wants to continue adding to the list of legends he has faced, and, in an interview, he confessed that he would love to face Brock Lesnar.

He said, “You never really know what you get with Brock… It’s definitely a match I want to have and I want to do. I feel Brock is somebody, I just make it my thing, I make him my personal End Boss. That’s the guy that, at one point, I have to step in the ring (with) to validate myself.”

Gunther has always shown great admiration and respect for Brock Lesnar’s work in WWE, especially in his first stages, It was impressive to see the young beast run riot over his rivals with agility and movements unbecoming of a wrestler of his size.

The resemblance between the two fighters, especially the physical level, is remarkable, as both are strong and big and have a rather tough fighting style based on forceful strikes. So a matchup between the two would surely be interesting. What do you think? Will Gunther get his dream match? If so, who would win? Let us know in the comments!
