WWE distributes the streaming rights to different networks on a contract basis. This allows the promotion to move away whenever they find a better offer elsewhere. CM Punk‘s return to WWE has only made the promotion’s weekly shows more hype-worthy. The popularity gained will only give the promotion an edge over other competitors while selecting a new home for its brands.

SmackDown is all prepared to leave Fox at the beginning of October 2024 and join its new home, USA Network. If you were assuming that all three brands of WWE will be under one network, you are wrong. This is because Raw is all set to find a new home, and this quest can cause AEW to relocate as well.

Ever since his return to the Stamford-based company, CM Punk has been a ‘hot’ star. WWE used his popularity by not signing him up with a brand until a few shows. On the Monday Night Raw episode that aired on 11th December, “The Best in the World” finally signed with the red brand.

New reports from Haus of Wrestling suggest that WWE is planning to switch Raw over to TNT. This would cause an issue for Tony Khan because AEW’s weekly shows are telecast on the same channel. So, if WWE strikes a deal with Warner Bro’s Discovery, not only TNT but TBS could also be out of bounds for AEW.

Whether Raw finds a new home on TNT or some other channel, the immediate storyline that is building up seems to be Punk vs Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins. Now that the former AEW star has officially joined the red brand, their feud could go on for a long time.

The two wrestlers have been real-life rivals for a long time. Both of them have taken multiple shots at each other time and again. However, since Punk left WWE in 2014, the Stamford-based company didn’t get the chance to set them up against each other. Now, the promotion has ample time to let their feud finally be concluded.
