Rhodes failed to fulfill his late father Dusty Rhodes’s dream to bring the world championship title home. But in terms of his career, he already surpassed his father’s historic milestone.

Dusty Rhodes was also a legendary pro wrestler whose provocative gimmick and captivating personality moved the wrestling world in the era of the 1970s. The American Dream achieved a fair number of wrestling accolades. He secured several titles in various promotions and won numerous regional championships in his lifetime.
Billed as the son of a plumber, the legendary wrestler resembles the ‘common man’, beyond the usual larger-than-life gimmick of many. The late WWE Hall of Famer had one massive regret in his life for not being able to touch the WWE Championship trophy ever. His son recently missed out on his chance, but one thing Dusty Rhodes can take pride in is the fact that his son smoothly surpassed his all-total 217 WWE matches landmark a long time ago and now proudly inches toward hitting the incredible 1500th mark.
