Among the multiple injuries that WWE superstars suffered in Royal Rumble 2023, one was left undisclosed. However, an announcement by wrestling commentator, Corey Graves on the last Monday Night RAW, revealed Dakota Kai’s injury. After getting this information, fans were not only shocked but sad for the member of Damage CTRL.

This news has also hinted towards a future when fans may not get to see more of the 34-year-old wrestler in the ring. However, she appeared in the post-Royal Rumble edition of RAW. Even though the RAW color commentator did not elaborate on the injury, fans tried to guess when it happened in the Rumble. 

Fans prayed for the female WWE star’s undisclosed injury 

In the Royal Rumble 2023 that happened last Saturday, the New-Zealand born wrestler entered at #9. During her entire segment in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match, she lasted for 22 minutes and 20 seconds before getting eliminated by Becky Lynch. However, the red-brand wrestler racked up five eliminations. Among these, she eliminated Emma by herself while Damage CTRL eliminated Dana Brooke, Shayna Baszler, Natalya, and WWE NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez as a group.

Somewhere in between Dakota’s time in the Rumble, she suffered an injury. This information has rattled all her fans. While some prayed for her fast recovery, others hoped it to be a part of a storyline. 

An avid viewer even came up with his own hypothesis of when Kai must have suffered the injury during the Rumble. However, nothing is disclosed officially. 

There’s no word regarding the severity of the injury and also how long the Captain of the Kick will be out of action. But fans shared their thoughts on the internet. 

Dakota Kai in the post-Royal Rumble edition of RAW

During the last episode of WWE RAW, fans saw Dakota Kai along with Bayley while accompanying their partner IYO SKY to the ring. This happened after SKY’s win over Candice LeRae. 

After that, she also appeared in a segment where Becky Lynch pulled her out to the stage to threaten Bayley. Lynch wrapped a chair around Kai’s leg and threatened to hit it with a steel chair. But then left when Bayley agreed to face her next week in a Steel Cage match.

This wasn’t the first encounter Dakota had with a serious injury, she had experienced some previously as well. And the professional wrestler also understands that this is a part of the business. However, it doesn’t answer all our queries. Is it a  real injury or a storyline? What do you think?
