However, fans never saw his deadlift. During a Q&A session from 5 years ago, Hogan would address why the fans never saw his deadlift. When a fan would state her deadlift record, and ask Hogan about his, he would congratulate her on her record. But, soon, he would state and reveal the reasons which stopped him from deadlifting, and certain other activities.

Hogan said, “my deadlift is pretty much dead in the water because I quit deadlifting and doing bench presses and any time of heavy squats almost 30 years ago.” He claimed the reasons as his knees were starting from all the wrestling, and it stopped him from doing those exercises.
However, he claimed that while he stopped training certain bodyparts, he started focusing more on the other ones. Hogan said, ” I just switched over and started training body parts but I did have the size. I did had the size originally, so I kept pumping blood in the arms, in the legs. and the chest to keep the size.” Despite being 69-years-old, Hogan is in excellent shape, and has much better fitness than any of his other colleagues.

Although he is way past his prime now, Hogan still is in no mood to stop. Working out daily and maintaining his physique is one of the priorities of The Hulkster. Back in his prime, it was quite difficult to compete with Hogan.
However, he still is no match for any of his former colleagues, and makes sure to keep it that way by maintaining peak fitness form. Although, earlier Hogan was known for pumping the iron and lifting massive weights, he has now reduced it. Hogan now trains at his home with much lighter weights, but more with an increased number of reps. He maintains his fitness by undergoing the gym routine, a balanced diet, and a healthy lifestyle.
