If only WWE wanted to protect Roman, they could’ve put over McIntyre via disqualification, but they didn’t. Following the loss, the WWE Champion did not appear on Raw the following night. Many argued how ‘The Scottish Warrior’ should’ve crushingly squashed somebody.
A man that looked unstoppable until Sunday suddenly loses momentum and is nowhere to be seen the next night – this doesn’t really sit right. There could be two reasons though. WWE did well establishing McIntyre over the months with wins over Lesnar and Orton, so it only hurts to see them playing favorites and putting Reigns over McIntyre.
